For 2020, the Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize has adapted to the challenges of the Covid19 pandemic. This year’s finalists, selected from previous editions of the Prize, rather than open submission, were unveiled at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August. Final judging by the Jury takes in October 2020.
The winner will be announced on November 5th, with the finalists each receiving a scholarship of 10,000 kroner. The recipient of the main prize of 200,000 kroner will be chosen by the 14 members of the jury who will be looking at participants’ portfolios for sustainability and ethical responsibility, business ideas, and innovation and originality of design.
The support is not only financial: finalists will also receive mentoring from a network of industry experts, advising on sales, production, PR, and business development.
The Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize is organised by the creative agency Moon, which, however, is not involved in any step of the judging process.
