The prize

The Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize is open to Danish citizens who have designed and produced at least one (but no more than six) ready-to-wear collections, women’s or menswear.

The judging is divided into two stages. First, a committee of Danish fashion experts select five finalists, assessing applicants for creativity, innovation and technical skills, together with business strategy and the brand’s potential to thrive in Denmark and abroad.

The shortlisted finalists was presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2017. Final judging by the international Jury took place October 27th 2017.  The prize was presented to the winner Lærke Andersen by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen.

Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize is organised by Moon. Moon has at no stage been involved in the judging process of the Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize 2017.
